How To Clean Heely Wheels
Heely shoes are highly famous amongst children and teens. More known as shoes that roll, the shoes look like any other ordinary shoes or sneakers when you look at them from the front. Though heely wheels sat clean for many weeks at a time but still they demand to be cleaned at least once in a month. I have often seen people cleaning heely wheels only with water, this is not right. The wheels sometimes get in touch with many kinds of dirt particles that cannot be removed from water, you have to use other cleaning materials as well. Cleaning heely wheels is no daunting task and can be done easily at home. Just follow the below mentioned steps:
- Take the heelys wheels out of the shoe and keep the shoe aside. If you will see on the packing of the heelys shoes the manufacturers have mentioned that while applying WD-40 to your wheels keep the shoes aside as it can harm the fabric of the shoe and stain it.
- Dip a piece of cloth in luke warm water and squeeze it slightly to pour all the dipping water out. Take the cloth and gently wipe the whole of the wheel so that all the loose debris and small dirt particles detach themselves from the wheel. Do not forget to clean the insides of the crevices of the heelys wheels.
- Before applying WD-40 on your heelys wheel dry it with a towel. If you apply WD-40 on a wet wheel the chemical rather than cleaning the heelys wheel further will dissolve in the wheel. This will make the heely wheels dangerously slippery increasing your chances to get hurt seriously.
- Dip a piece of towel in 1/4 cup filled with WD-40. Rub the wet cloth all over the wheels. However, make sure you do not clean the crevices, the chemical causes the crevices to attract more dirt and grime.
- Once your done with the cleaning leave your heelys wheels for half an hour so that they dry. After thirty minutes assemble them together.
Now you have your shiny and almost new heelys wheels back in your shoes giving you a smooth ride.
